Eco discoveries in Northern Vietnam

Vietnam is the sanctuary of eco discoveries. Offering many beautiful landscapes with favorable climate, a journey to Vietnam will never get you boring. Here are the most eco-attractions in Northern Vietnam you should visit in your life.


Ba Be National Park and Ba Be Lake

Ba Be Lake or Ba Be National Park is located in Bac Can Province, 240km from Hanoi and covers more than 23,000 hectares. Ba Be National Park is definitely a place for adventurous travelers. It offers green mountain, green paddy field, beautiful caves and lakes, boat trips; and activities such as swimming in the beautiful lake of Ba Be, trekking and cycling in Ba Be National Park. The whole area is home to many ethnic minority communities. Ba Be Lake is in fact three lakes linked by wide channels, about 8km long and 400m wide. The surface is always calm, making a boat trip a peaceful experience.



Mai Chau

Isolated Mai Chau and the nearby villages are in a valley around 139km from Hanoi and only 150 metres above sea level. Nestled between two towering cliffs and surrounded by emerald green paddies, it is an enchanting sight as you approach down the windy cliff side road and the villages and surrounding countryside present an idyllic rural scene that could easily charm you into staying longer than intended.


Cuc Phuong National Park

Cuc Phuong National Park is located about 100 km South of Hanoi, Cuc Phuong is the first and one of the most impressive national parks in Vietnam. Cuc Phuong National Park was established in 1962 and consists of over 200km of tropical forest and many grottoes. This landscape forms the habitat for some of Asia's rarest animal and plant species. Flora Cuc Phuong National Park is famous for its abundance of plants and trees.


Ba Vi National Park

Ba Vi National Park is one of Vietnam's most famous areas of outstanding natural beauty. Ba Vi National Park, located 1.5-hour drive from Hanoi, is situated in the Ba Vi mountain range. Ba Vi National Park has has rich and diverse tropical and subtropical species of flora and wildlife species. Ba Vi National Park totally includes 63 species of mammals and 1,209 species of plants, 21 of them are rare plant species listed in the Vietnam Red Book.


Cat Ba National Park

Cat Ba National Park is located in Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city and has a lot to offer as far as trekking is concerned. The treks range from easy to difficult. This national park is home to 32 types of mammal, including most of the world's 65 remaining golden-headed langur, the world's most endangered primate; and contributes to the rich flora and fauna collection of Vietnam. Over a thousand species of plant have been recorded in the park, including 118 trees and 160 plants with medicinal value.


Sapa

Sapa is the most most beautiful village of Northwest mountain in Vietnam. When going on a Sapa tour, visitors will have chance to visit different minority ethnic groups who live in remote area.
